Vacation update:

A couple weeks ago I went to Wyoming to visit Bethany A!  Besides the flying part, it was a fun trip.  We did lots of cooking and playing with Kaden, her son.  He is such a bright boy and he loves having books read to him.  I got to teach him the sign for touchdown!  That Saturday we went to Mount Rushmore which was my first time there.  It was pretty cool, especially the history about how that all came about.  We went to the Rushmore Cave, which was a bit scarier than I thought it was going to be.  Pretty cool though.  I enjoyed shopping in the little touristy town, and got myself a ring with a little Black Hills' gold.  Then, finally, I got to play cards!  It has been such a long time since it's hard to find people to play with.  Anyway, it was definitely good to get a break, catch up, and see some new sights.

Part 2 misspellings, and these are only the ones I bothered to write down!

Some of you may have heard that Kansas is in a budget crisis.  Up until now, I had been relatively secure in my job.  Well, Wednesday I found out that my department was going to be severely hit if the legislature pursues cutting our agency's budget for Fiscal Year 2010 (starts July 1st).  This means positions will be cut.  It's all very political and complicated, and nothing may happen due to the stimulus money, but we won't know for sure until at least April. Maybe longer.  I hate this waiting game. 

All of my family is waiting to hear back on our jobs:

• My dad is waiting to hear if he will get an upgrade/raise
• My mom is waiting to hear if her department will moved and she may or may not keep her job
• My sister is waiting to hear if they will having enough funding to let her keep teaching
• Now I am waiting to hear if they will pursue cutting my agency

Needless to say, this is an interesting time for our family.  I feel like God is maybe trying to tell us something.  Hmmm?
